Juneteenth Freedom Fest set for June 14-15 in downtown Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The MetroHealth Cleveland Juneteenth Freedom Fest will be on Mall C in downtown Cleveland from 6 to 10 p.m., June 14 and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., June 15. The free festival features live music, vendors, food trucks, entertainment and more. These aren’t just any food trucks but include a variety of soul food options.
Juneteenth recognizes the ending of slavery on June 19, 1865. With that in mind, the MetroHealth Cleveland Juneteenth Freedom Fest will spotlight the rich historical presence of African-American arts and culture in Cleveland.

“It is a powerful reminder that Black history is American history, as we honor the past, lift up the rich tapestry of Black culture and support our vibrant community right here in Cleveland,” she said. “From the Vendor Village and Soul Food Row, brimming with Black-owned businesses, to the engaging workshops and artistic showcases, this is a day to celebrate, educate and activate.”
