The Raben Group seeks a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to join a small consulting team working to administer Move to End Violence, a program of the NoVo Foundation. The ideal candidate seeks a junior-level position working on a variety of time-bound tasks with a commitment to excellence. We are looking for a capable project manager who can handle a heavy and expansive workload without letting anything slip through the cracks. We’re looking for someone who will bring a spirit of collaboration, partnership, experimentation, maximizing impact, and fun to our team. The position is based in Seattle, WA and will report to the Program Director.

About the Team

Our team works with other consultants and experts in the fields of transformative leadership development, organizational development, movement building, and social change to implement Move to End Violence. We began by researching and designing a 10-year program to strengthen the movement to end violence against women and girls. Now in our third year of implementation, we are responsible for recruiting and selecting participants, managing and delivering programs and curriculum at several in-person convenings each year, supporting participating individuals and organizations, developing and maintaining a web presence, and more. This team operates Move to End Violence as consultants to the NoVo Foundation. We are housed at The Raben Group, a progressive public affairs consulting firm that represents foundations, non-profits, advocacy organizations, and corporations. 

Job Responsibilities:

The Associate will be responsible for the following:

Planning and managing logistics for several convenings and meetings in the U.S. and abroad 

Providing administrative support to the team, including scheduling meetings, booking travel, taking notes, managing reimbursement requests, and expense tracking 

Serving as the primary connection to the program for participants, creating a positive and comprehensive experience overall

Providing timely communications to participants regarding logistics, upcoming opportunities, and more

Assisting in the administration of special projects, including regional workshops, program alumni engagement activities, and materials production 

Various projects, as assigned


We seek candidates with strong organization and problem-solving skills, who are committed to ending violence against girls and women.  Our ideal Associate will be:

Proactive in identifying problems and offering solutions or recommendations 

A real team-player: someone with good judgment, the ability to make and act on decisions, and the confidence to share all of your brilliant ideas

Excited by the possibility of taking on new, more complex responsibilities that align with your strengths

Equipped with a good sense of humor

Available to travel regularly (usually averages about 1 trip/month)

The following are a plus, but not required:

Experience with event planning and/or large-scale organizing projects

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Adept at using or quickly learning new technologies, such as Drupal, database management, social media platforms, etc 

Knowledge of or prior experience with progressive social change movements

Experience working in diverse groups resulting in an understanding and sensitivity to group dynamics, an understanding of power, privilege, and intersectionality 

1-2 years of prior experience in a professional office setting
