Few issues present the nation with more public policy challenges than the troubled state of our health care and education systems.

The issues range from childhood obesity, to environmental health issues, to No Child Left Behind, to preventing teenage suicide, to end of life choices, to health care disparities. For each of our clients navigating these issues, our professionals bring years of experience, creative instincts, extensive networks and a strong commitment to making a real difference in the world.

Our clients in these arenas include some of the nation's largest educational institutions, health care-related foundations and interested non-profits of all sizes.

Our professionals have:

  • Convened for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the "Agriculture 101" meeting, sponsored to de-mystify the Farm Bill and highlight the interests/intersections for the health care community.

  • Convened a Policy and Research Roundtable for Active Living Research, bringing together stakeholders to evaluate research and policy priorities for their next funding cycle.

  • Organized the Thought Leaders Project to capture trends within the movement to eradicate childhood obesity from thought leaders in the field.

  • Developed a federal strategy and strategic communications plan to address the reauthorization of No Child Left Behind (NCLB), including direct lobbying and development of a federal strategy, for the Los Angeles Unified School District, the second largest — and arguably the most diverse — district in the nation.

  • Developed and launched a comprehensive presence in Washington, DC, for the Breast Cancer Fund to support its unique focus on the reduction of environmental contributors to breast cancer, including public and policymaker education, direct lobbying and creative coalition-building across the political spectrum.
