Our shared intellectual and philosophical commitment to social justice places the Constitution and Justice Practice Group at the heart of The Raben Group.

The group serves nonprofit organizations and other private and public sector entities focused on constitutional and justice-based policy issues. Our attorneys and professionals work closely with clients to develop issue-based educational and advocacy campaigns at the local, state, and federal levels.

Our services begin with short- and long-term goal identification and strategic planning, and include coalition building, public education, direct legislative lobbying or regulatory advocacy, strategic communications, organizational marketing and branding, and board development. We specialize in creative strategy and tactics, including assembling practical alliances, often with unusual allies.

• Coordinated outreach and public education activities for the Commission on Safety and Abuse in America’s Prisons
   
• Developed and implemented a successful strategy to reauthorize the Voting Rights Act for the National Council of La Raza
   
• Advised the national American Civil Liberties Union on their USA Patriot Act, national security, and privacy agendas
   
• Served as the Washington, D.C. office of the Center for Reproductive Rights
   
• Provided assistance with organizational positioning and strategic planning to an array of national membership organizations and advocacy groups.
