20th Annual Hispanic Heritage Awards

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

 

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation will host the 20th Annual Hispanic Heritage Awards.  The theme of the landmark event will be "Looking Back, Looking Forward," and will feature past and new Honorees, performers and Youth Awardees in tribute to Hispanic pride, culture and leadership.

Please join the Center for Reproductive Rights in cooperation with Congresswoman Hilda Solis (D-CA) and the Democratic Task Force of the Pro-Choice Caucus, represented by co-chairs Congresswoman Louise M. Slaughter (D-NY) and Congresswoman Diana DeGette (D-CO), for a coffee break briefing on advancing reproductive health and rights in Latin America.  Come learn about a recent string of legal victories for reproductive rights in Mexico, Peru and Colombia that are changing international human rights laws to reflect the reality of women's lives.

Voto Latino co-founders Rosario Dawson and Phil Colon spent the day meeting with Members of Congress, followed by a young professionals fundraiser that evening.
