TONY MARKS is a Senior Communications Associate at The Raben Group, where he helps clients reach complex policy and advocacy goals by creating effective communications strategies, drafting and placing op-eds, story pitching and developing materials for congressional outreach and special events.

Prior to joining The Raben Group, Mr. Marks served on Senator Edward M. Kennedy’s staff for five years, first as a staff assistant on the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Immigration and later as assistant to the Legislative Director. His responsibilities included researching legislation and editing and drafting memoranda, remarks and correspondence consistent with the Senator’s broad legislative priorities. He also monitored Senate proceedings for the Legislative Director and served as the Senator's point person for the John F. Kennedy Library’s 2006 Profile in Courage Awards.

Before working for Senator Kennedy, Mr. Marks was a senior reporter for a newspaper in Collierville, Tennessee, where he covered local politics and planning and development issues in the region.
