SUSIE VALENZUELA is the Executive Assistant to Robert Raben and the Office Manager at The Raben Group.

Ms. Valenzuela is an experienced bilingual professional with more than 25 of years of extensive experience in operations, planning, human resources, customer service, project management, diversity and management expertise in the telecommunications industry.

Before joining The Raben Group, Ms. Valenzuela served as the Administrative Manager for the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO).

Prior to NALEO, Ms. Valenzuela had a successful career with telecommunication giant AT&T, having served as Bilingual Training Manager, conducting internal and external training for a diverse workgroup of 1,300 bilingual customer service associates. Ms. Valenzuela also served as the Resource Manager for the AT&T Relay Center and the AT&T Call Servicing Center, where she responded to human resources, labor and diversity issues and initiated career development programs that achieved an employee promotion rate in excess of 40 percent.

Ms. Valenzuela served on the panel of the AT&T Chairman’s Diversity Award Initiative and the AT&T Consumer Services National Call Servicing Diversity Council, where she created and executed annual diversity workshops throughout the AT&T Consumer Services Organization..

She is currently the president of “HACEMOS of the Nation’s Capital” (AT&T’s Hispanic Employee Resource Group), an organization that provides Hispanic/Latino Youth and Professionals the mentorship and resources to achieve personal and professional excellence thus enabling them to contribute to corporate, civic, and community leadership.

Ms. Valenzuela, a native Texan, holds certifications in Training, Human Resources and Diversity from the Society of Human Resources Management and the American Society of Training and Development and a degree in Bilingual Education and Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas.
