SUZANNE STOLL is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Raben Group. Ms. Stoll brings extensive experience in public policy, congressional and legislative affairs, international organizations and management to her role.
In her previous position as Washington Coordinator for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Ms. Stoll represented the specialized United Nations agency before the Congress and federal agencies, non-governmental organizations, educators, attorneys and businesses in the United States. She worked to raise the profile of WIPO in the U.S. and communicate to diverse sectors the importance of intellectual property for growth and development in nations throughout the world. She also participated in treaty deliberations and advised the leadership of the U.N. organization on congressional activities.
As Chief of Staff to three successive U.S. Representatives from the same congressional district in Florida over the span of twenty years, Ms. Stoll also has a unique perspective on the operations and culture of Congress. She developed and implemented policy objectives, political strategies and operating plans for congressional and district offices, coordinated legislative initiatives, supervised staff and maintained oversight of all communications, correspondence, legislation and decisions affecting the performance of the members she served.
As Chief of Staff to Congressman Robert Wexler, Ms. Stoll also wrote speeches, prepared the member for numerous television appearances, and served as counselor during Judiciary Committee hearings. She functioned as Rep. Wexler’s intellectual property counsel, as well.
During her tenure with Congressman Harry Johnston, Ms. Stoll served both as Chief of Staff and liaison and advisor to the Africa Subcommittee of the International Relations Committee, of which Johnston was Chairman. In that capacity, she supported Johnston in negotiations with world leaders, such as King Hassan I of Morocco, President Mubarak of Egypt, then - Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres and PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat, in a series of early back-channel Middle East peace missions in North Africa and the Middle East.
As Chief of Staff to Congressman Dan Mica from 1984 - 1988, Ms. Stoll was primary investigator in a successful effort to reveal corruption in the largest health maintenance organization in Florida. Prior to that role, Ms. Stoll was on the staff of the House Aging Committee under the leadership of Congressman Claude Pepper.
A graduate of Simmons College in Boston and Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law, which she attended at night while working on Capitol Hill, Suzanne is Vice President of the Board of the Academy of Hope, which provides high quality educational opportunities and job training to low-income and at-risk adults in Washington, D.C.
