Steven Fisher

Steven Fisher's clients include the American Civil Liberties Union and Save the Children.

With more than fifteen years of senior strategic communications experience, Steven Fisher has applied a unique integration of creative messaging, media advocacy and speechwriting to secure game-changing results for a diverse range of organizations.
Most recently, Steven conceived and executed a strategic communications plan and top-tier celebrity advocacy program for a multi-million dollar grant to Save the Children’s U.S. Programs. The project continues Sargent Shriver’s progressive legacy by promoting education as the path to reversing childhood poverty in the U.S.
In the early 2000s, the Governor of California appointed Steven to help lead a landmark health care reform project. Steven successfully navigated the project under intense political and media scrutiny, promoting new health care protections for 23 million Californians.
A widely-praised communications campaign that Steven led at the Human Rights Campaign helped defeat a divisive constitutional amendment in the U.S. Senate just months before the 2004 presidential election. Steven was also executive producer of a historic 2007 presidential debate on LGBT issues, which catapulted into the spotlight an emerging brand at Viacom’s MTV Networks.
Steven’s writing has been placed in The New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The Huffington Post and elsewhere. He has prepared spokespeople for appearances on The Colbert Report, Nightline, The Today Show and all major network and cable news networks. He also prepared executives and officials for investigative stories by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, 20/20 and 60 Minutes.
Steven is a graduate of The George Washington University.
