Jennifer Mueller, Counsel

Jennifer Mueller’s clients include the National Health Law Program and Horizons for Homeless Children.

An experienced attorney, educator and writer, Jennifer Mueller helps our clients develop sound public policy, define their strategic goals and reach diverse audiences.

Jen came to Washington, DC as an attorney at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering (now WilmerHale), where she was a litigation associate. She participated in many high-profile matters at Wilmer, including defending the constitutionality of campaign finance laws in McConnell v. FEC. Jen’s cases involved a wide range of issues, including contract law, securities law, international arbitration, white collar crime and antitrust. 

After leaving Wilmer, Jen worked as a freelance writer “translating” important policy issues for a wide range of audiences. Prior to moving to DC, Jen clerked for Judge Warren J. Ferguson on the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She also interned at the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights and was a Harvard Human Rights Fellow at the South African National Youth Commission. 

Jen is a graduate of Harvard Law School. During her time at Harvard, she was president of the Harvard Mediation Program and served as an executive editor on the Harvard Women’s Law Journal. 

Before attending law school, Jen taught English for three years in Prague at the Czech State Language School. She has lived, worked, and traveled in more than 40 countries.

A New Jersey native, Jen graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with highest honors. She is a member of the California and Washington, DC bars.
