Jonathan Kent, Senior Associate

Jonathan Kent works with clients such as Time Warner Cable and the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda.

With a background in politics and communications on Capitol Hill, Jonathan Kent assists clients with media strategy, strategic planning and Congressional outreach.

Prior to joining The Raben Group, Jonathan worked as press assistant to Congressman Peter Welch (D-VT), developing and maintaining the Congressman’s new media operations. During his tenure, the office launched effective YouTube and Facebook pages and dramatically revamped its website.  Jonathan also helped implement the Congressman’s paid and earned media strategy by coordinating press events and drafting media materials.

Jonathan also has experience with the field organizations of national, state and local campaigns, most recently as out-of-state volunteer coordinator for the Obama for America campaign in Pennsylvania in 2008. He has also worked on campaigns for Boston City Council and for Deval Patrick’s successful campaign for Governor of Massachusetts in 2006.

A native of Quechee, Vermont, Jonathan holds a bachelor of science degree in political science from Northeastern University, where he focused on the effective implementation of grassroots campaign strategies.
