Francella Chinchilla’s clients include The California Endowment, Friends of the American Latino Museum, and the Hispanic National Bar Association.
Immediately prior to joining The Raben Group, Francella worked as a donor relations and scholarships assistant at the California Community Foundation. In this role, she collaborated with students, university officials, and donors to ensure that student scholarship funds both satisfied donor intent and assisted deserving students with their financial burdens.
Francella began her work in development as resource development coordinator for the LULAC National Educational Service Centers, Inc. In this capacity, Francella led the national organization’s development efforts, submitting federal grant requests and maintaining relationships with corporate sponsors. Additionally, she supervised the organization’s K-12 programming, which included mentoring, tutoring and youth leadership services. As a development assistant for the Tomás Rivera Policy Institute, Francella raised funds for the research organization and conducted a program evaluation on a foreclosure prevention/ loan modification pilot program operating in nonprofits in the cities most harshly affected by the recent housing crisis.
Born in San Jose, Costa Rica and raised in Southern California, Francella earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Government from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She returned home to California to complete a Master of Public Policy from the University of Southern California.
