Donald Gatlin draws upon a variety of non-profit and private sector experiences to assist our clients with coalition building, media strategy and issue analysis.
Prior to joining The Raben Group, Donald was a data specialist at the Quality Trust for Individuals with Disabilities. In that role, he was responsible for tracking and trending statistics and building comprehensive statistical reports. His work helped the Quality Trust, the DC Department of Disability Services, and the United States District Court assess and improve the status of the service delivery system for the developmentally disabled community in Washington, DC.
Donald has also worked in fundraising for the United Negro College Fund and Wesleyan University; at NASA as a reporter of high-level peer review meetings; as a student manager in the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at Wesleyan University, where he helped manage Wesleyan’s largest events; and at Thomas and Herbert Consulting, where he reviewed and edited contract proposals and assisted with daily office management under the direction of the Chief Officer of Operations.
Donald was a fellow in the inaugural Leadership Institute class with the Center for American Progress, and he holds a Bachelors of Arts in American studies from Wesleyan University. His coursework focused on the cultures, politics and literatures of the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. He is a native of Alexandria, VA.
