The Raben Group's policy breakfast with Fred Wertheimer, founder and president of Democracy 21

January 18, 2012 - 8:30am - 9:30am

We’d be delighted if you’d join us for The Raben Group’s policy breakfast with Fred Wertheimer, founder and president of Democracy 21.

Democracy 21 is a nonpartisan organization that works to strengthen our democracy. A former president of Common Cause (1981 to 1995), Mr. Wertheimer is a recognized national leader and spokesman on money in politics and on government integrity, transparency and accountability issues. Mr. Wertheimer has been described by The New York Times as “the country’s leading proponent of campaign finance reform,” by Washington Post columnist E. J. Dionne as “the eminence grise of the campaign reform movement” and by The Boston Globe as a “legendary open-government activist.”

Mr. Wertheimer was named one of the 90 greatest Washington lawyers of the last 30 years by Legal Times in 2008 and one of Washington’s top lobbyists by The Hill in 2010. Mr. Wertheimer has also served as a political analyst and consultant for CBS News, ABC News and ABC’s Nightline.

This policy breakfast is not a fundraiser and space is limited, so please let us know immediately if you plan to attend by emailing Rosa Mendoza at rmendoza@rabengroup.com or calling 202-587-2870.
